Energy Globe Award

The ENERGY GLOBE Award was established in 1999 and is now one of the most prestigious environmental awards worldwide. Every year, this award recognises sustainable projects which focus on resource conservation, energy efficiency, and the use of renewable energy.

On 11 February 2025 , the Energy Globe Award for Madagascar was presented to Managing Director of ADES, Luc Estapé, at the offices of Advantage Austria in Zurich. Commenting on the award, he said:

 “This award is a recognition of the achievements of our staff and partners in Madagascar! Despite often adverse conditions, they manage to continuously optimise the three pillars of our activities – cooking stoves, education and reforestation – and thus make a significant contribution.” 

Indeed, this award reflects the outstanding achievements of our staff: Without them, ADES would not have been able to manufacture and sell more than 100,000 stoves last year, educate 22,000 children on environmental issues and plant over 338,000 trees.
